Alterations and enhancements both
[Audio capabilities]
An immersive in-product experience will now be supported by voice access, which will allow for the announcement of new features and upgrades. By using it, you will be able to explore and learn more about new capabilities in voice access that you may experiment with more rapidly. From the options menu, you have the option to either initiate or terminate this new experience.

The problem that was causing the Group Policy Editor to not render properly for some display languages, such as Chinese, in recent Canary versions has been fixed. This fixed the issue that was producing large blank regions.
An additional underlying problem that was causing certain Insiders to notice a SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bugcheck in recent Canary releases has been fixed.
Notable problems
“In general”
[NOTE OF IMPORTANCE FOR COPILOT+ Personal Computers] The Windows Hello pin and biometrics that you use to sign into your computer will be lost if you join the Canary Channel on a new Copilot+ PC that you purchased from the Dev Channel, Release Preview Channel, or retail. You will get the error message “Something went wrong, and your PIN isn’t available” along with the error code 0xd0000225. If you select the “Set up my PIN” button, you should be able to generate a new PIN for yourself.
It is possible that an error message pertaining to Administrative Templates may appear when you launch Group Policy Editor. If you click the OK button, you should be able to continue functioning normally.
Following the installation of this version, we are now looking into a problem in which the taskbar does not display acrylic material as intended.
We are currently working on a solution to a problem that occurs when audio devices that have high sampling rates (such as 192Hz) and many channels do not produce sound after upgrading to this development version. We are grateful to the Insiders who contributed information that was both extensive and detailed.
[BRAND NEW] Applications that are reliant on virtualization, such as VMware Workstation, will lose their ability to function if Virtualization Based Security is activated. This is the case until the “Windows Hypervisor Platform” Windows optional component is installed on the machine. Previously, it was not necessary to install the component that was considered optional.
[Manager of Tasks]
In Task Manager, the search function and other features, such as filtering, do not function properly.
Alerts for Windows Insiders who are participating in the Canary Channel
During the early stages of the development cycle, the builds that we release to the Canary Channel are representative of the most recent platform changes. These builds should not be considered to be matched to any particular release of Windows. Additionally, the features and experiences that are included in these builds may never be released as we experiment with various concepts and receive feedback. Windows Insiders are the only people who will ever have access to features that may undergo changes over time, be withdrawn, or be replaced. It’s possible that some of these experiences and features may be included in future Windows editions when they are ready to be included.
There are a number of features that are brought out in the Canary Channel utilizing the Control Feature Rollout technology. These features are first sent out to a subset of Insiders, and then gradually increased over time as we monitor input to see how well they are received before being pushed out to everyone in this channel.
It is possible that some features may first be unveiled in the Dev and Beta Channels before they are made available in the Canary Channel.
Localization will take place over time when features are finished, and it is possible that some of the features that are now in active development and that we preview with Windows Insiders will not be completely translated. We would appreciate it if you could use the Feedback Hub to let us know about any problems you encounter with the localization of your language.
In order to exit the Canary Channel, it will be necessary to perform a fresh installed version of Windows 11. As a reminder, technical setup requirements prevent Insiders from switching to a channel that is getting releases with lower build numbers without first doing a clean installation of Windows 11. This is the case because of the requirements.
It is typical for these pre-release versions to have a watermark shown on the desktop which can be seen in the bottom right corner of the screen.
